Bowdon Middle student competes in State Cross Country Meet

Bowdon Middle School 8th grader, Averi Lowen had a phenomenal Cross Country season this school year. She held the 1st place title for both Oak Mountain Academy Invitationals, as well as the Bowdon, Cedartown, and Mt. Zion Invitationals and she was the overall top female finisher for the West Georgia Middle School League Championship. On Saturday, October 15, Averi competed at the Middle School State Championship in Bleckley County, coming in 2nd place overall. Averi was the first runner from Bowdon Middle School to compete at the state level. Bowdon Middle is so proud of Averi and her accomplishments. Her coach, Molly Harper, says she is looking forward to coaching Averi for the next four years at the high school level.
