Playing with Art, featuring the often lightly spirited work of Bowdon mixed media artist and painter, Lu Steed, opens October 27 at the Carrollton Center for the Arts and runs through December 8.
“Lu Steed’s works range from large acrylic paintings on canvas and prints to collages,” said Visual Arts Coordinator Marcella Kuykendall. “This show illustrates her progress and experimentation since the 1980s as she’s explored a variety of subject matter, like truck driving and personal perspectives.”
There will be a reception honoring the opening of Playing With Art and the Carrollton Artist Guild’s Small Packages exhibition, November 3 at the center from 5 – 7 pm.
