The City of LaGrange wants to advise the community of several streets closings in anticipation of the 46th annual Christmas parade in downtown LaGrange Thursday, December 1st.
The parade will begin 6:00 p.m. but the streets will be closed starting at around 5:45 p.m. Parallel parking spots and several diagonal parking spots on the 100 blocks of Bull Street, Main Street & Church Street will be blocked off from parking all day Thursday, December 1st.

This year’s theme is “Santa’s Helpers” and the Grand Marshal is United Way of West Georgia President/CEO Patty Youngblood. Youngblood has helped to raise millions of dollars to support dozens of agencies in her 19 year tenure and recently announced will retire at the end of the year. Youngblood will be lighting the annual Christmas tree in downtown LaGrange before the parade and then leading the parade.
The festivities will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Lafayette Square with the annual Mingle with Kringle event. The annual Christmas tree lighting in downtown will be at 5:15 p.m. The parade is expected to begin at 6:00 p.m.
The City of LaGrange’s television station LGTV will be carrying the parade LIVE on Facebook at facebook.com/lgtv.org.
