Spotlight Shines on Two Downtown Villa Rica Businesses This Week

As seen in Villa Rica Main Street’s Weekly Newsletter, Main Street Matters: This week’s Business Spotlight is The Hangar Clothing Company, a clothing consignment store, and Design Floors, two businesses at 106 S. Carroll Road, here in Villa Rica.

Both companies are co-owned by Susie and Brian White, who are longtime residents of the west Georgia area. Susie owns the clothing store, which is run by their daughter-in-law Ashley White. Brian owns and runs the flooring design business.

Susie learned about the consignment business from her mother, who owned a shop in Lithia Springs for 25 years.  Brian has been involved in the floor covering business since he was 15.  Both he and Susie lived in Douglasville for 25 years before moving to Temple. They did outside sales for a flooring distribution company before opening their twin businesses in Villa Rica. They have been in business for almost 13 years. The clothing store is in Suite B of 106 S. Carroll; the Design Flooring business is next door.

The name “The Hangar,” came from the shape of the rafters in the ceiling of the building, as well as the concrete floor which reminded Susie of an airplane hangar. This is the way the inside of the building looked like before they opened the consignment business.

Brian and Susie have two children, Devin and Erika.

Congratulations for being selected as the Downtown Business Spotlight of the Week!!
