he Prism of My Familiar, a new exhibit at the Carrollton Center for the Arts January 5 – February 16, explores the nuanced and sacred spaces of a Black woman’s life.
The exhibition showcases the figurative and abstract work of artists Jess Hill and Jasmine Nicole Williams.
“This exhibit is a fascinating mix of artwork from two women with a background in printmaking and who studied at the University of West Georgia,” said Visual Arts Coordinator Marcella Kuykendall. “Their current studio practices intermingle printmaking with painting, murals, textile arts and other intriguing media. We are excited to bring them back to Carrollton to showcase their talent and celebrate their creativity.”
There will be an opening reception at the center January 5, from 5 – 7 pm.
This exhibition is sponsored by Walt and Charlene D’Ambrosio.
