Peachtree City once again won the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. This continues a winning streak that goes back decades.
The award, handed out by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. It recognizes cities that go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles according to GFOA.
GFOA lauded Peachtree City for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2021, noting that the report met an impartial panel’s high standards of transparency and full disclosure.
