CJO Spring Concert Coming to Arts Center

The Carrollton Jazz Orchestra will celebrate the season of renewal with its Spring Jazz Concert, March 23, at the Carrollton Center for the Arts.

The CJO will also introduce an orchestra member’s new composition during this show.

“We love playing the music of all-time greats such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Stan Kenton,” said CJO pianist Terry Lowry. “But great jazz music is still being written today. Our very own John Shapley has written a piece for us in tribute to the great Art Blakey of the Jazz Messengers and we’re really looking forward to premiering it on this program.”

Tickets for the performance are $15 for adults, $10 for youth and are on sale at the center’s box office or online at carrolltonarts.com.
