For the first time, ChildrenConnect Newnan Children’s Museum and Keep Newnan Beautiful are partnering to bring Kid’venture Camp to downtown Newnan this summer. Rising K-5th graders are invited to attend drop-off sessions held at the ChildrenConnect museum located on the corner of Temple Ave and College St. Children get to add a layer of fun outdoor and indoor learning to their summer, while parents can take advantage of some much needed solo time. Which session do you think your child or grandchild would enjoy most?

“Session 1 – Let’s Explore Pollinators” – June 5-8, 9AM – Noon. Kids will learn all about bees, caterpillars, butterflies, and bat species. They will get to sample honey, make butterfly suncatchers and caterpillar egg crates, and visit with real life fruit bats, birds, and other important pollinators and environmental helpers, courtesy of Natures Echo Environmental Group. ( Register by May 17, 2023)

“Session 2 – Mad Scientist Camp” – July 10-13, 9AM – Noon. Kids will learn all about water properties while making snow, discuss polymers through building things with magic sand, learn about chemical reactions while making ice cream, and meet a real Mad Scientist! (Register by June 21, 2023)

Page Beckwith, Director of Keep Newnan Beautiful, said “We have wanted to partner with ChildrenConnect for many years, because our missions truly complement each other. At Kid’venture Camp children will get to grasp the importance of caring for our local community environment through joyful, creative, and meaningful play.” Learn more about Kid’venture Camp and register at www.ChildrenConnectMuseum.com.
