A few changes have taken place at Stillwood Plaza in Newnan. In March Johnny’s New York Style Pizza’s owners announced their retirement. Congratulations!!
A note on Facebook read, “We are retiring. Thank you for your patronage over the last 16+ years. We are blessed to have been a part of the Newnan community. Thank you for the great memories and friends made along the way.” On March 25 the restaurant served their last customers.
The City Menus had covered Johnny’s growth in 2016 with the announcement of its freestanding building. In 2017 the new location opened. It is unknown at this time what will take the place of the now empty building. Johnny’s has several other area locations including Carrollton and Fayetteville.
In other shopping center happenings a new Italian restaurant, Dolce Passione, has opened in the former spot of Los Mariachis at 111 Lower Fayetteville Road Suite 300. This was a conversion per management. There are no plans at this time to reopen Los Mariachis in Newnan; however, customers can visit their other locations in Peachtree City, Hapeville, and Fairburn. Zocalo Mexican will open in the former Johnny’s Pizza.
