Baby Boutique Boom Hits Downtown Newnan

Provided by Newnan Mercantile

The adorably cute Ellie + Roo Baby boutique opens this month with a shout as Market Day pedestrians flocked to celebrate its arrival. Expanding on her children’s section in her Newnan Mercantile, owner Rachel Kuehl has pulled out all the stops to create an inviting shop where parents can discover the latest finds for their children. From baptism dresses to classic, wooden toys, Ellie + Roo proves to be Newnan’s treasure trove for all things baby.

The baby boutique sits upstairs above Newnan Mercantile’s neighbor, Little Southern Home Marketplace, perfect for customers who want to get a gift for everyone in the family – even for the littlest ones.

“Follow the pink stairs, I tell everyone,” Rachel laughs. “It’s our motto!”

From her initial online store and then in the Newnan Mercantile, Kuehl has continually brought a bright, modern taste to the downtown area. She shares that she had always wanted to open a boutique specifically for young children, and is beyond thrilled that that dream finally came true this month. In honor of her own children, the boutique is named after her two oldest ones.

Open now for just shy of three weeks, Ellie + Roo has met an overwhelmingly healthy start. After her soft opening on the first, Rachel took advantage of the Newnan Market Day crowds to draw customers in. The shop received plenty of positive and kind feedback from the locals, fueling Rachel’s desire to continue to meet and even exceed expectations.

Her plans for the upcoming months include holding weekly or monthly merchandise drops on their social media platforms where the interested can view the latest inventory before it’s displayed in the store.

“I want to encourage people to shop locally,” Rachel states. “We [as a store] want to let Coweta County know that we have everything they need to shop locally, especially for your child.”

If you check out elleroobaby.com, you’ll see that they not only have the clothes, shoes, and toys typical of any boutique, but they also have other necessities like strollers, suction cup meal plates, bucket bibs – and many more tools and gadgets to help make parenting just a little bit smoother. To top it all off, Ellie + Roo sells mouthwatering treats such as Sour Apple Laces and Confetti Drops. Parents can also rest assured that the clothes, blankets, and burp cloths are made of 100% natural materials.
