Carrollton Celebrates the Fourth

Fireworks, a parade and music will fill the air and streets in Carrollton this July Fourth weekend, in honor of our nation’s birthday.

The Carrollton Jazz Orchestra kicks off the celebratory weekend on Saturday, July 1 as it takes the stage at the Amp at Adamson Square at 8 p.m. for their All-American Jazz concert.

The Carrollton Wind Ensemble performs An American Celebration at the Amp at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 2.

The Evening Sertoma Club’s annual People’s Parade through downtown Carrollton kicks off the Fourth at 10 a.m.

The evening’s festivities will begin at 8:15 p.m. with the Carroll Symphony Orchestra’s Sounds of Liberty concert on the front lawn of Carrollton Elementary School and culminate with the city’s fireworks show at 9:35 p.m.

The fireworks show will feature primarily high-altitude pyrotechnics which can be seen from a greater distance. The launch site for the fireworks show, presented by the City of Carrollton, is across Ben Scott Boulevard from the concert stage and will be located between the practice football field and the baseball field beside Carrollton Junior High.

For those who cannot attend the Sounds of Liberty concert in person, Gradick Communications’ radio station B-92 Country will broadcast the concert live.

Admission to each of these family-friendly events is free.
