Just south of Newnan’s downtown historic Square, you’ll find the former Coca Cola Bottling Building at 167 Greenville Street filled with an abundance of local artisans. It’s the Blue Fern’s first weekend Indoor/Outdoor Artisans Market, on Saturday August 5 from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. and on August 6 from 9:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M.
Shoppers will find vintage antiques, home decor, vintage clothing, jewelry, pottery, art, iron works, woodworks, and more! Sometimes Blue Fern even has freshly baked artisan bread. This Saturday and Sunday the market will also feature Tarot reading, fresh cut flowers, and tattoos. Lori Duncan owner of Blue Fern tells us that anyone can be a vendor, “We have vendors from all over the local area including Atlanta – anybody can become a vendor as long as you have good stuff.”
Blue Fern is also expanding at their current location into a space next door which will be called the Fizz Room. She tells us, “This will be more of a French Marketplace, with kitchen, bath, home goods, plants, gardening, and more.” To become a vendor please email Lori directly at [email protected]
Some of the food trucks Blue Fern has enjoyed over the past few months include Over the Top Eats and Allie’s BBQ; and last month Eats by Backroads was the special June market food truck. Lori cheerfully says, “We’ve had 750+ people come through each market. We just couldn’t do it without all our wonderful vendors.” The market will be taking a break for the month of July, so make sure to stop by during August’s first weekend market to find an incredible treasure!
