The City of LaGrange is now accepting applications for the 2023 Class of LaGrange 101. This is a free class hosted by the City of LaGrange that allows local citizens to experience an inside look at city government. The goal is to develop informed and involved citizens.
LaGrange 101 is a six-week class that will meet Monday evenings from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Each week participants learn about different departments of local government.
The first class will be Monday, October 2nd. The final class will be Monday, November 6th. Graduation from the class will take place at the LaGrange City Council meeting Tuesday, November 14th.
The application deadline is Friday, September 15th at 5:00 p.m. Please email completed applications to Adam Speas at [email protected] or drop them off in person in the Marketing/Communications office on the 3rd floor of City Hall, 200 Ridley Avenue.
Only 15 citizens will be selected for LaGrange 101. Applicants will be notified if they are chosen by Friday, September 22nd.
To be a part of LaGrange 101, applicants are asked to submit three concerns they want addressed in the City of LaGrange. Presenters will incorporate these concerns into their presentations.
