Last week, turtle crossing signs were installed in Avery Park’s Turtle Alley. The project is Boy Scout Troop #47’s Brooks Burkhart’s Eagle Scout project. Brooks will continue the project by installing ramps on the curbs to give turtles easier access to climb the steep curbs, as well as painting turtle crossing lanes into the sidewalk. A massive thank you to Brooks Burkhart, Boy Scout Troop # 47, Director of Engineering Michael Klahr, Samuel Henriquez, Matt Dean, and Dillon Wren for making these signs a reality for our community.
