Owners Mark and Diane Thurman opened Thurman’s Produce Market in  Bowdon in June 2018. They are now moving into the building next door, formerly Wiggins Furniture Store, by September first. “This move will allow us to offer even more variety of products and a bigger parking area that will be safer entering and exiting for our customers. The bigger location allows us to have three times the amount of freezer space, refrigerator space, and product space,” Diane said.

She stressed that they “strive very hard” to offer good quality products at a reasonable and competitive price. At the present moment Thurman’s has a large variety of fruits, vegetables, jarred items, frozen peas and beans, local beef that’s USDA certified, Amish products, cheeses, and raw peanuts. The Thurmans go to Atlanta Farmers Market located in Forest Park to get their produce when the products are not available from their local customers. “We encourage local, home grown products and are very pleased to say that each year we have more local products coming in,” Diane said.

Thurman’s new address will be 1467 Highway 166, Bowdon, Georgia 30108, approximately only a few feet away from the previous location. After providing fresh, quality products for the past five years, they look forward to what the future holds for them and the community. “Words can’t express nor describe  the love and support that our customers have shown us, not to mention the lifetime friendships,” Diane said. They are proud to offer a military discount.

Thurman’s hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
