Carroll EMC has been working alongside of Lt Col David Cumings and MSgt Steven Peters in creating a competition course for JROTC Raiders. The JROTC Raider is a cadet who seeks to challenge their physical endurance, mental strength, and leadership skills in a competition with other Raider teams. Carroll County Schools JROTC Raiders test their ability to flip 600 lb. tires, climb 8’ walls, and cross a single- rope bridge as a team.
The Carroll EMC crew worked tirelessly to locate power poles, transport and bring the necessary equipment and crew, to safely install the obstacles for the teams. “The course and equipment give our cadets the ability to accomplish competition and training on a new level,” stated Lt Col Cumings.
“By helping us create and complete the Raider course, we will empower our cadets using challenging obstacles and advanced training facilities,” said MSgt Steven Peters. Principal Mr. Kelly Edwards added, “The collaboration has not only energized the JROTC Program, but has ignited a sense of pride within our school community. Carroll EMC has been a long-time supporter of our school, our students, and our community.”
To formally say thank you to Carroll EMC, Lt Col Cumings awarded each of the technicians a Challenge Coin.
