The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Membership Breakfast on September 7, 2023 at the University of West Georgia Coliseum, featuring Dr. Brendan Kelly, UWG President, and Jason Carmichael, UWG Athletic Director, as speakers. The event united Chamber members, local leaders, elected officials, and UWG faculty and staff, emphasizing the strong Chamber-university connection.
Dr. Kelly highlighted the benefits of being in Carroll County and the collaborative opportunities between UWG and the community, enriching student experiences and regional vibrancy. Carmichael discussed the impact of the Carroll County community on UWG student-athletes, emphasizing support from local businesses and community members, nurturing not only successful sports programs but also future leaders who learn the value of teamwork, dedication and community engagement.
