Halloween is Happening in Carrollton

Carrollton will be the scene of several Halloween-themed events during the next two weeks, from trick-or-treating and a movie to music and football.

Kids ten and younger can decorate their own mini pumpkin (while supplies last), watch a screening of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and enjoy Butter’dudder ice cream at the Amp at the Great Pumpkin Decorating event, October 16 at 6pm. Sponsored by Budder’dudder and Walmart.

Test your trick-or-treat knowledge at Halloween Trivia at the Amp, Thursday, October 19 at 7pm. Sponsored by Local Ties Brewing Company.

The Carrollton Wind Ensemble will perform an original score by Carrollton native Elijah Green for the 1925 silent movie, Phantom of the Opera. October 19 – 20 at 7:30pm at the Carrollton Center for the Arts.

The classic movie Hocus Pocus will be shown on the Amp’s big screen, Friday, October 27 at 7pm.

Saturday, October 28, will feature several events throughout the day beginning with Trick-or-Treat Downtown from 10 – 11:30am. Children will travel through Adamson Square, collecting candy and goodies from merchants.

The Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department will host its free Fall Carnival for kids October 28 from 11am – 1pm at the East Carrollton Recreation Center, featuring inflatables, games and more.

The action moves back downtown at 3:30 pm when the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Florida Gators, live on the Amp’s video screen.

On Sunday, October the 29, the Carrollton Wind Ensemble will take to the Amp stage at 7:30pm to present their Creepy Concert.
