Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Never Forget Garden Dedicated in Carrollton

On Saturday Chairman Michelle Morgan and Sheriff Terry Langley attended a dedication ceremony for the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Never Forget Garden.” Chairman Morgan presented a proclamation that stated, “Since 1921, Arlington Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has provided a place for one of America’s unidentified World War I service members; other unknown soldiers were added in 1958 and 1984.”

To commemorate its 100th anniversary, the Honor Guard of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier issued a nationwide invitation to plant Never Forget Gardens to provide a personal space to reflect on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a quiet place to honor America’s Veterans, families, and our fallen, missing, and unknown service members. Carroll County encourages all citizens to join us in honoring this Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Never Forget Garden and its Marker.

The marker and garden are located at the Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park at 1050 Newnan Road, Carrollton, GA 30116.
