Belen de la Cruz to Usher Empanada Goodness to Coweta

Thirteen empanada flavors. Alfajor. House-made chimichurri sauce. Vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Is your mouth watering yet? Then visit Belen de la Cruz, the newest addition to downtown Senoia. Specializing in Argentine empanada recipes, Belen de la Cruz will melt your appetite and your heart.

Founded by Belen de la Cruz herself in 2020, the restaurant quickly outgrew its rental kitchen in Atlanta and started up their Marietta, Johns Creek, and The Works locations. De la Cruz not only offered top-tier empanadas that customers could take home hot or frozen, but she also provided enticing cooking classes. Her passion for her craft translated to unique and flavorful empanadas few others can replicate.

Now, new owner Pablo Serrano introduces Belen de la Cruz the restaurant to Senoia.

“I visited several cities south of Atlanta but nothing seemed attractive until we found Senoia,” he admits. “We fell in love with this charming town and its community, so we decided it was the right place.”

Now open on 30 Main Street, guests can enjoy empanadas baked with high-quality beef, chicken, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and many cheese varieties. Each empanada is “Baked with Love” as their indoor signage suggests.

Serrano shares the reason why the empanadas remain superior to others is that the level of research and care remains the focus of the cooking process.

“It has taken a long time to achieve balance in the recipes, but according to our customers they are the best! We really like to take care of the quality of the product and also of our customers, so we always use top-quality raw materials and we decided to bake them instead of frying them. This way they are healthier.”

Guests can order their empanadas in-store or online via the website. However, you can also try Belen de la Cruz’s tempting pastries, as well. From their Coconut Bites made with shortbread and dulce de leche to their Raspberry Bite made with shortbread and almonds, the restaurant’s delicacies continue through dessert.

For special orders only, Belen de la Cruz also offers beautifully crafted charcuterie board boxes stocked with the essential cheeses, olives, and tomatoes, with sprigs of herbs sprouting out of the curves and cracks.

Pablo Serrano wants to thank his crew and the Senoia community for their perseverance and continued support and love for the tastes of Argentina.

“We thank the Coweta County community for their constant support and words of encouragement towards small businesses; without them, none of this would be possible,” he adds.

You can visit Belen de la Cruz in Senoia every day of the week 11:00 A. M. to 8:00 P. M. For a full menu, visit belendelacruz.com or call their Senoia location at 706-957-4957.
