Some people in the Villa Rica community may already be familiar with Mavis Tire and Brakes, and may even travel to Dallas for their services. That commute will no longer be necessary as there is a new location making its way to 336 Mirror Lake Boulevard. The property for the development is zoned C-2 Medium Density Commercial. According to a letter from Villa Rica Planning and Zoning Specialist Ronald Johnson to Fuqua Acquisition II, LLC, on Oct. 26, 2021, the mayor and council of the city of Villa Rica approved with conditions a rezoning of three parcels from Single-Family Agricultural and Industrial Medium-Density to Single-Family Attached, Commercial Medium-Density, and Multifamily Medium-Density in order to construct a multi-family apartment complex with 208 units, a townhome community with 255 units, and an 18.97-acre commercial retail shopping center with five outparcels on the property as a part of applications RA-08-21 and RA-09-21, on Land Lot 126. The Mavis Tire and Brakes project is underway as a part of this approval from a couple of years ago. It will be a 7,253-square-foot automobile repair shop with eight bays allowing for multiple cars to be serviced simultaneously.

Mavis offers tires for purchase for various vehicles. Customers are able to go online and enter the details of their vehicle to shop around for available inventory. The shop offers many tire services including tire repair, wheel alignment, tire consultation and inspection, TPMS sensor, tire rotation and tire balance check. They also offer vehicle services like oil change, brakes check, battery check, state inspection, suspension check and a/c check to name a few. See their website for specials and coupons that are available.
