June + Grey Set to Open in Carrollton This Weekend

The children of Vicki Lackey inspired the name of what started as an online shop, June + Grey, and later opened a physical store as of June 4, 2022, in Bremen. Before that they were set up in another store, White Hummingbird, for about six months. “And then we decided, ‘You know what, let’s just do the thing.’ We found the space and opened our own storefront.” Vicki said the store in Bremen has been doing well. She is excited for all of the school spirit gear her store will have for Central and Carrollton High Schools in the new location as they did for Bremen schools. “And so that’s going to be a big part of the store too, to kind of have that go along with it,” Vicki said.

While eating at the Irish Bred Pub Vickie had noticed a “For Rent” sign at the space which is now about to be the new Carrollton location of June + Grey; she called, was able to view it that same day, and began the process of signing a lease. To get it ready they had to do some painting and take down some of the equipment from the former dance studio. “It has been a very easy process… It just kind of worked out really well,” Vicki said.

Vicki designs everything for her brand June + Grey, basically picking every single aspect of the brand’s items. That attention to detail is a big part of what customers will be able to find when they shop. The shop will also have a lot of seasonal inventory. Sizes range from three months up to extra extra large. There are lots of other brands for customers to check out as well. The inventory consists of t-shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, shorts, skirts, rain boots, and more. All of the clothes are gender neutral and fit all ages.

The grand opening for the Carrollton location is set for February Third. June + Grey will be located at 207 Adamson Square, Suite C, Carrollton.  Customers can shop online at https://juneandgrey.com/ Owners can be contacted by email at [email protected]
