Two Art Takeover events this year will bring local artists, creators and live music to downtown Carrollton.
Organizers of the event invite the public to check out local creators’ works while exploring the shops and galleries downtown. Attendees can sip and dine from downtown eateries and enjoy art demonstrations and live music.
Once a one-day event, Art Takeover’s popularity led the city to expand the annual downtown arts party to a two-event series across the spring and summer. In addition to the happenings on the square, this year’s first Art Takeover on March 28 will feature a public sculpture unveiling at the Neva Lomason Library at noon and the opening of a UWG student art show at the Center for the Arts at 5pm.
The summer Art Takeover this year will be held August 29.
