The annual West Georgia Jazz Festival will take place on Saturday, April 27, at 4:00 P.M. rain or shine at The Mill Amphitheater in Villa Rica.
Local talent will be performing, including saxophonist Spurgeon McWilliams, the Villa Rica High School Jazz Band, and the Villa Rica High School Majorettes. In addition, Boom Town will also be there, opening for headliner, saxophonist and composer Tom Braxton.
You can bring your own chairs for a free concert experience, or you can purchase reserved seating for $20 each here. A limited number of tables including six chairs are also available for $120. All public parking downtown is free, and attendees can park in city lots or street parking.
Food is permitted at the Mill Amphitheater, so this is a great opportunity to try one of the many delicious restaurants downtown to-go or check out a food truck that will be on-site.
Alcohol is only allowed at Main Street-sponsored events when alcohol is purchased within the downtown entertainment district and placed in the Main Street-logoed plastic cup provided by the establishments within the district, including Hixtown, UnCorked on Main, and Los Cowboys. While alcohol in any container other than the Main Street plastic cup will not be permitted, beer and wine will be sold at the event by a local restaurant. Coolers are allowed at the amphitheater but must not be larger than five quarts.
No smoking, vaping, or tobacco use of any kind is permitted in the green space. Pets are also not allowed at the amphitheater, although registered working animals are permitted. Solicitation or outside vendors will not be permitted during the event.
Low-profile chairs and blankets can be set up the day of the show, but umbrellas and tents are not allowed. The City of Villa Rica and Villa Rica Main Street are not held liable for any loss or damages of personal property left at the facility.Â
