If you want your MTV, rock down to the Amp, August 24 at 8pm, for Electric Avenue: The ’80s MTV Experience.
Electric Avenue takes the audience on a musical journey to a time when video killed the radio star. The band members delve into their personal stash of vintage synthesizers and rare signal processors to meticulously and painstakingly recreate 1980s hit New Wave and radio pop songs. The group’s sound is so close to that of the original artists that Warner Music once mistakenly issued a cease-and-desist order for using original artists recordings on their social channels – for which the music industry giant issued an apology to the band.
In 2019, EA was hand-picked and flown to Asbury Park, NJ, to provide the soundtrack for the red carpet launch of the Bruce Springsteen – Gurinder Chadha ‘80s-centric film, Blinded By The Light. They have been direct support for Pat Benatar and have been joined on stage by members of Toto, Player, Talk Talk and Little River Band.
This concert is sponsored by Scott Evans Nissan and Scott Evans Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram.
