Laughter is the goal as comedians Barbara Dooley and Karen Morgan bring their Football and Foolishness show to the Carrollton Center for the Arts, August 30 at 7:30pm.
“You do not have to be a Georgia Bulldog football fan to enjoy this performance,” said Arts Center Manager Tim Chapman. “Everyone that loves the spirit of sports – all the drama, sights, sounds, coaches and athletes – will be front and center during this hilarious performance.”
Karen Morgan was born and raised in Athens and graduated from the University of Georgia and Georgia State College of Law. A former trial attorney, Karen began her professional comedy career as a finalist on Nickelodeon Television’s Search for the Funniest Mom in America. Karen has two comedy specials on Dry Bar Comedy: Rub Some Dirt On It and Go Dawgs!. Her latest audio album, Shiny Happy People Laughing, was recorded live in Athens.
Barbara Dooley is a mother of four and a grandmother of 11. She was born in Birmingham and graduated from Auburn University where she received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Barbara was married to Coach Vince Dooley for 62 years before his passing. She is author of two books, Put Me In, Coach: Confessions of a Football Wife and Fourth and Inches: How to Win When Cancer is the Opponent. Barbara is a speaker, radio host, philanthropist and a humorist.
