The Amp’s Locals Live concert series continues Friday, September 6, with performances by the David Pippin Group and Evan Crowther.
Evan Crowther is a singer-songwriter based in West Georgia who holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and has studied choral music, opera, barbershop and musical theater. He has performed on stages everywhere, from microbreweries to Carnegie Hall. Crowther covers a variety of music and his original songs blend influences from alternative rock, folk and blues.
The David Pippin Group – David Pippin on guitar and vocals, drummer Kelley Warner, keyboardist Alex Burley and bassist Jonathan Dorsey – will be joined by featured vocalist Eva Rose Schultz, who also plays with Pippin in a popular acoustic duo. Pippin is founder of Pippin Music Academy in Carrollton. DPG is well-known for skilled musicianship and high-energy performances. The group won the Atlanta Blues Challenge in late 2023 and was one of only 200 acts from across the globe to perform in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis earlier this year.
Crowther will also join the group during the band’s set.
