The Weavers & City Tavern’s 10th Anniversary

Tucked away right outside of Adamson Square, City Tavern serves some of Carrollton’s best beer and wings. Owners, Rich and Stephanie Weaver, have rightfully earned the title of restaurant connoisseurs over the last few decades. The Weavers have contributed substantially to the success of Carrollton’s restaurants having started some of Carrollton’s most well known and revered eateries: 302 South Street, Max and Henry’s, Brown Dog Eatery, and City Tavern.

The Weavers have imprinted Carroll County with their culinary mark. When asked the most important things to know when managing the food industry world, Rich says, “The restaurant industry can feel all encompassing at times- it’s a lot of hard work- but relating to the community is the most important thing about being a restaurant owner.” The Weavers recognize the importance of customer service and caring for people, including those on the clock: “[my staff is] amazing, supportive and a huge contribution to this success.” Between good food, good people, and good times, the Weavers have curated a recipe for success.

City Tavern, located at 109 Newnan Street in downtown Carrollton, celebrates its 10 year anniversary on Friday, September 6th. To honor the last decade in business, there will be discounted menu items, beer, and t-shirts. Start out with an appetizer like crispy fried prickles or mac-and-cheese bites, or jump straight in for a juicy, gourmet burger! City Tavern is known for their best-around chicken tender platters and ice-cold brews – what better way to celebrate?

Rich and Stephanie would like to thank the community for supporting them in their current and future endeavors and celebrating this achievement of 10 years at City Tavern.
