Three Additional Restaurants Under Construction at Ashley Park Phase 3

On the heels of our recent report that Newnan is getting their very own Sprouts Farmers Market comes news that three growing restaurants are also coming to town.  Super Chix, Taco Mama, and J Christopher’s all plan to open in Phase 3 of Ashley Park!

Super Chix, a quick-serve chicken restaurant, first entered the Georgia market with a location at The Avenue Peachtree City in March 2022.  The Utah-based restaurant has in the years since its Peachtree City debut also opened in Dunwoody with new locations opening soon in East Cobb, Kennesaw and Gainesville.  Some have likened Super Chix to Culver’s and Freddy’s in that like their burger brethren, Super Chix positions themselves as a premium quick-serve option boasting their hand-cut fries, fresh, never frozen chicken, and “world famous” potato buns.   Super Chix, which started in Dallas, Texas in 2014 and was until 2015 a concept in KFC-owner Yum! Brands’ portfolio, has since grown to thirty-one locations with at least five more, including the aforementioned Georgia units, coming soon, and dozens more planned.  Super Chix plans to open in Newnan later this fall.

Based in Birmingham, Taco Mama first opened in 2011 and has now grown to ten locations across Alabama.  The budding brand has chosen Ashley Park for its second location in Georgia. Currently they have one Georgia location in Athens. The counter service restaurant features assorted tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and salads, as well as beer, wine and margaritas.  Taco Mama plans to open at Ashley Park early next year.

J Christopher’s, an Atlanta-based breakfast and lunch eatery, is also opening in the project.  Most of the locally owned eatery’s locations are in Atlanta, but the restaurant does have an existing location in Peachtree City across from The Avenue Peachtree City.

Women’s boutique Lizard Thicket also plans to join the eateries, Sage Dental, and the recently opened La-Z-Boy in the new phase with its planned move from an existing phase of Ashley Park.

The new retail and restaurant tenants join Alta Ashley Park, a 269-unit apartment community that opened last June.  Stan Thomas of Thomas Land & Development, LLC, who previously developed the project’s first two phases between 2004 and 2008, is also developing the latest phase.
