More potato pizza and good dough is coming to Newnan! Partners II Pizza is set to open its doors in the Arbor Springs Plaza in just two weeks, bringing the beloved pizza chain to a new neighborhood. “[We’re] really excited to bring [Partners] to that side of town,” say owners and restauranteurs Gene and Rebecca Tate.

“We saw an opportunity, they really needed something out there, so we said, ‘you know what, why not?’” The decision to open a Partners II Pizza was an easy one for Gene and especially Rebecca, “It’s food service, it’s in my blood,” she says. Her family legacy stems from Jim Royal, the founder of Partners II Pizza.

The new restaurant will offer specials specific to the location alongside their traditional pizza fare and homemade fresh ingredients. “We’re making everything in-house,” Gene said. “We even cut our own cheese for the pizza.”

The pizza chain gets its reputation from its special dough, potato pizza, relaxed atmosphere, and from giving high schoolers job opportunities. “Partners is known for hiring teenagers…” and “it’s more of a mom and pop kind of feel than it is in those commercial chains,” Rebecca says.

“There are a lot of kids that work there and have been raised on Partners pizza…. So, we’re excited to bring that to that side of town, just kind of that hometown feel.”

For Rebecca, the opening has also been an opportunity to work alongside her father. “I’ve never been able to work side by side with my dad and see what he does. I stopped working at Partners when I was probably like 20, so it’s been really fun to be able to see him in action and doing what he loves to do [starting new locations]. That’s been the most exciting part for me, personally.”

As they prepare for opening, they are also looking for full-time and part-time employees. If you’re interested in joining the Partners II Pizza family, please apply!

The new restaurant will be located right in front of Publix in the plaza, housed in one of the free-standing outparcel buildings, and is set to open in the last week of September.
