The locally owned One Magnolia Lane is set to move from the Kedron Village Shopping Center to The Avenue Peachtree City. Customers can look forward to an Oct. 1 opening but it may be pushed back a couple of days because of recent weather. The new location will be at 304 City Circle, between the delicious Positano and the sweet Great American Cookies.
The timing lines up and “[i]t was a really good opportunity for us to make some changes in the store that we needed to make…”, says Diana Surratt, the owner of One Magnolia Lane. “And that just seemed like it was a great place for us to go back to… and [The Avenue] made us very very welcome.”
The store has been a staple in Peachtree City for just over 30 years with its beginnings at The Avenue Peachtree City. Although, it has been at Kedron Village for the last eight years. One Magnolia Lane has a history of offering a curated selection of unique, hand-picked gifts. According to the website, Diana brings in American-made products “with a special focus on local artisans.” Customers can also ask for complimentary gift wrapping.
Diana wants to give a special thanks to Brighton, a retailer that carries signature jewelry, accessories, handbags, and more. “It’s a wonderful, wonderful group…,” she said and she’s proud to bring them back into that space. “…[W]e felt like Brighton deserved it, to bring them back over to the Avenue and give them a spot they deserve.”
She also recognizes the other retailers that have been part of the store, “I like that it’s not all about one big group. It’s about lots of different manufacturers that make our store special and we’re very fortunate to have and to be part of those groups.”
Customers should note that One Magnolia Lane will discontinue the punch card system. However, existing cards will be honored, so customers are encouraged to redeem them soon. Their Facebook reads, “[w]e’re coming up with something where you won’t have to worry about losing the card.”
