In 2019, Cindy Hendricks founded Rock Salt Milk Bar in downtown Newnan. Now Rock Salt has expanded with a total of three locations, including Peachtree City and LaGrange.
While brainstorming their business, Cindy and her son Grayson traveled across the country, visiting renowned ice cream shops, trying various flavors, observing different methods, and gathering important data for Rock Salt. Cindy and Grayson agreed on one important factor in particular: the highest quality desserts have quality ingredients.
From ice cream, cheesecake, cobblers, and more, Rock Salt Milk Bar curates superb desserts with real ingredients: grass-fed milk, free-range eggs, real vanilla and chocolate, and organic, locally-grown fruit when available. They never use artificial colors or flavors.
Their commitment to freshness is often unmet by competition. Cindy notes, “When we say all-natural, we mean it. We’re not buying our cookies off the shelf and mixing them into our ice cream; we’re making them from scratch in our Newnan store. The same goes for our baked goods – 100% scratch made.” Another differentiator at Rock Salt is their devotion to their customers – rather than being married to their recipes, they actively encourage customer feedback, ensuring exquisite baked goods that everyone will love.
The menu is ever-growing at Rock Salt Milk Bar. The owners are proud to welcome two experienced bakers to the team, Logan and Meredith. They have added several items to the menu including gallettes, homemade toaster pastries, and more. Together, they will continue creating new desserts for Rock Salt.
