Central High School Senior Wins Optimist Essay Contest

Central High School senor Ashley George won the Optimist Club of Carrollton Essay Contest.

Ashley’s essay was about how optimism has paved her road to success. Her first-place win awarded her a $200 scholarship and she will have the opportunity to read her essay to Optimist Club members during their February meeting.

The essay will be submitted to the Optimist International organization where she has the chance to win a $2500 scholarship.

Ashley is the daughter of Debbie and Timothy George of Carrollton.
