Heard County Chamber of Commerce to Host 3rd Annual Rodeo in April 2025

The Heard County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for another thrilling weekend of rodeo action, family fun, and live entertainment at the 3rd Annual Heard County Rodeo. The event is set for April 18 and 19, 2025, at the Heard County Covered Arena in Franklin, Georgia.

Gates open at 6:00 PM each night, starting with live music before the rodeo begins. Mitch Billingsley will perform on Friday night, while Jack Christopher will take the stage on Saturday night from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

The rodeo, sanctioned by the IPRA and SPRA, begins at 8:00 PM on both nights. Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in eight rodeo events, including:

  • Bull riding
  • Bareback bronc riding
  • Steer wrestling
  • Barrel racing
  • Team roping
  • Calf roping

Whether you’re a long-time rodeo fan or new to the sport, this event promises a memorable experience.

Friday is Family Night, offering a special deal where one child age 11 and under gets in free with each paid adult.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.heardchamber.com under the “Events” section. Presale tickets are available at the Heard County Chamber of Commerce office at 103 Main Street, Franklin, Georgia, or online until Friday, April 11.

Ticket prices:

  • Ages 12 and up: $20
  • Ages 4 to 11: $10
  • Ages 3 and under: Free
  • Parking: Free

Tickets will also be available at the gate.

Contestants looking to enter the competition can do so by calling 337-427-6336 on Monday, April 14. Entry fees are $80 for cardholders and $90 for permit holders, with $500 in added prize money. The rodeo stock will be provided by Oubre Rodeo Company.

For those traveling with horses, stable stalls and camping spaces with water and electricity are available for $30 per night. Reservations can be made online at www.heardchamber.com, but they are not required.
