The Carrollton Wind Ensemble celebrates the change of seasons with its Spring Concert, May 2, at the Center for the Arts.
The CWE concludes its performance season with a showcase of classics featuring more than 60 local musicians and some selections from Spanish composers in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. Sangria, chips and salsa will be available before the concert.
“This concert has some of our absolute favorite pieces on it,” said the CWE’s conductor, Terry Lowry. “From Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story to the music from the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, this program will be great fun for the entire family.”
The show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at carrolltonarts.com, by phone at 770-838-1083 or at the center’s box office at 251 Alabama Street.
