Off-price retailer Burlington is set to join the retail mix at Newnan Pavilion, taking over the space formerly occupied by JOANN Fabric & Crafts at 1074 Bullsboro Drive. This comes after JOANN’s recent bankruptcy filing and large-scale store closures across the country.
According to reporting from our media partners at TONETOATL, Burlington secured lease assignments for multiple former JOANN locations, including two in Georgia—Suburban Plaza near Decatur and Newnan Pavilion here in Coweta County.

The Newnan JOANN store was among 112 locations shuttered on April 28, as the crafting chain begins winding down operations across its once nearly 900-store footprint. All remaining stores are expected to close by the end of May.
Burlington’s move into Newnan Pavilion signals continued confidence in the busy retail corridor along Bullsboro Drive, though details on the store’s opening timeline have yet to be announced. KIMCO Realty, which manages leasing for Newnan Pavilion, did not respond to our request for comment before press time.
Stay tuned for updates on Burlington’s opening date and other changes at Newnan Pavilion.
