Southwire’s West Georgia Community Hosts Walk for Water 2025

Southwire’s West Georgia community hosted its fourth annual Walk for Water this past Saturday, April 26, at the company’s Carrollton Headquarters location.

“This is one of my favorite events,” said Stefanie Anderson, Sr. Giving Back Specialist. “Water Mission’s goal is so important. Clean water is often something we all take for granted. I always bring my children so that they can learn about the world and know that they that they can have an impact, even if it is small steps.”

125 participants showed up to support Water Mission’s goal of bringing an end to the global water crisis. Volunteers of all ages participated in the 3-mile walk, filling a bucket with water at the halfway point. The walk replicates the trek that millions of individuals around the world make daily just to collect drinking water.

“This is a great opportunity to see how we help and impact around the world,” said Walter Serrano, Product Specialist at Southwire. “I have family in South America, so knowing that [the Southwire team in] Honduras is doing this hits home for me. It’s a great way to give back and help communities.”

Multiple Southwire sites and communities have now hosted their own Walk for Water events this year. To date in 2025, Southwire has raised over $36k for Water Mission.
