Refreshing changes are coming to a retail center in Newnan as construction has officially begun at the Shops at Millard. At the heart of this transformation is the arrival of Sprouts Farmers Market, a natural and organic grocer that will become the anchor tenant of the newly named Sprouts at Millard Shops. We originally reported this on The City Menus in August of 2024.
Located at 19 Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard, the shopping center will soon offer residents a healthier grocery option, filling a longstanding gap in Newnan’s retail offerings. Sprouts, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, first entered the metro Atlanta market in 2014 and currently operates sixteen stores throughout the state. The Newnan location will be the grocer’s first in Coweta County, with the nearest location in Peachtree City.
The new Sprouts store will span 23,256 square feet and occupy a central position within the center—distinct from the previous location of One Life Fitness Express, which has officially closed its doors. The former One Life space will be divided into several smaller shop areas, aimed at attracting restaurants, healthcare providers, and boutique retailers.
Despite the construction, not everything at the center is closing up shop. Plato’s Closet and Once Upon A Child, two popular consignment stores owned by the same local franchisee, will remain open throughout the renovation. Both stores are part of the Winmark Corporation family and have built a loyal customer base in the community.
Additionally, a local karate business has relocated to a nearby shopping center, now situated next to Hero Comics, providing continuity for its students while the center undergoes transformation.
Though significant site work is not anticipated until the first half of 2025, excitement is already building for what’s to come. The shopping center’s leasing agent, Retail Planning Corporation (RPC), is actively working to bring in “best in class” tenants that will complement Sprouts and serve the community’s evolving needs.
The new Sprouts Farmers Market is slated to open in 2026, promising not just fresh produce and organic products, but a fresh start for a shopping center with a long-standing presence in Newnan.
Stay tuned for updates as more tenants are announced and construction progresses.
