A groundbreaking ceremony was held today for a major new development at the corner of Alabama Street and US Highway 27 in downtown Carrollton, marking the start of a $58 million mixed-use project led by the City of Carrollton in partnership with RaLin, Linco Development, and Paramount Hospitality.
As part of the development, officials announced that the hotel component will be a Home2 Suites by Hilton. Located next to the Carrollton Center for the Arts, the project will include a city-funded conference center, parking deck, residential and retail space, and a restaurant. The development is expected to significantly boost the local economy and tourism, and is a key piece of the city’s Downtown Master Plan.
