The Amp’s Locals Live concert series will bring a savory stew of rock, jazz, blues and southern soul to downtown Carrollton July 25, with performances by Crews & Company and Deni Phoenix and the Fervor.
Rooted in Georgia, Crews & Company is a rock and roll band that incorporates southern soul and blues and is known for its captivating, high energy performances. The group cites a wide variety of influences including iconic bands like The Allman Brothers, The Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin. Crews & Company features founding guitarist and lead vocalist Brian Crews, bassist and backing vocalist Reese Boyd,. keyboardist and backing vocalist Jack Barr, drummer/percussionist Jacob Clouse and singer and rhythm guitarist Julie Anne Steed.
Deni Phoenix and The Fervor is a five-piece band with a jazz, soul and southern rock repertoire. The group formed in 2022 during regular performances at 4 AM Coffee Roasters and Bar in Carrollton. Their name – fervor – is a nod to the heat and passion embodied in their music. The band consists of lead vocalist Deni Phoenix (A. Deni Harling), guitarist and vocalist Daniel “D.A.” Akin, slide guitarist Stephen Lee, bassist Rob Ervin and percussionist Alex Watkins.
