Premier Medical Training Services, a trusted name in healthcare education, is proud to announce its expansion into Carrollton, Georgia. This decision is both a strategic move and a personal one. After four successful years operating in LaGrange, the team at Premier always envisioned opening three locations. Carrollton became the clear next step, especially after owner Leslie Langford spent three years living and working in the area. During her time here, she found the city to be warm, welcoming, and rooted in the kind of Southern values that align with Premier’s mission. Its proximity to LaGrange, strong population base, and thriving medical community made it the perfect location for growth.
The Carrollton location currently offers Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and CPR certification classes. Upcoming CNA course start dates are September 8, October 13, and November 17. These classes run for three weeks and conclude with hands-on clinical experience at a local nursing home, giving students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in a real-world setting. CPR classes are offered regularly, and those interested can check the schedule at www.premiermedicaltraining.org or call Cassie at 706-756-2164 for more information.
The cost for the CNA course is $1,265, which includes class instruction, a textbook and workbook, a clinical uniform, a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope, and all lab supplies. Students are responsible for a few additional items, such as a watch with a second hand, white non-porous shoes, and a $35 state testing fee. CPR training is offered at a cost of $85.
To help make training more accessible, financial assistance is available. Goodwill of the Southern Rivers offers scholarships for CNA students, and WIOA grants are available for qualifying individuals. These grants can support youth between the ages of 17 and 24, as well as those who are unemployed or underemployed. Students interested in applying can visit the Goodwill Career Center in Carrollton, LaGrange, or Newnan. For WIOA information, they can contact Julie Hallmark at the Carrollton Department of Labor at 770-838-2633 or by email at [email protected]. They will also be present during a job fair on August 27th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwill Career Center in Carrollton.
Students at Premier Medical Training Services can expect a focused, supportive learning environment. Classes are kept small, with no more than 12 students, allowing instructors to give personalized attention. The program is designed to prepare students thoroughly for the state certification exam, with curriculum and instruction led by experienced professionals. Owner Leslie Langford’s background as an evaluator for Credentia, one of Georgia’s official CNA testing vendors, ensures that students are being taught to the highest standards and with a clear understanding of what the exam entails.
Getting started is simple. Interested students can register directly through the website at www.premiermedicaltraining.org. Anyone with questions can reach out to Cassie at 706-756-2164 for guidance and support through the enrollment process.
Premier Medical Training Services is excited to bring its commitment to quality education and compassionate care to the Carrollton community and looks forward to helping new students begin meaningful careers in the medical field.
