Mayor Jim Arrington and the City of LaGrange are partnering with Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center to launch Fall into Fitness, a community-wide health initiative designed to get residents moving, connected, and healthier.
The initiative will run throughout September, October, and November, offering free and low-cost opportunities for people of all ages to get active, try something new, and have fun while supporting local causes.
“We all know how easy it is to let our health take a back seat when life gets busy. Taking small steps can make a big difference. I wanted to create this initiative, Fall into Fitness, to give our community simple, fun ways to move more, eat better, and connect with our neighbors,” said Mayor Jim Arrington. “Whether you’re climbing the Callaway Stadium stairs to honor our first responders, learning how to eat better with Piney Woods Farms, doing yoga on the campus of LaGrange College, or walking on The Thread, there’s something for everyone. I believe a healthier LaGrange is a stronger LaGrange.”
“At Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of every person we serve,” said Wellstar West Georgia President Coleman Foss. “Fall into Fitness is an opportunity to walk alongside our neighbors, explore something new together, and make healthy living fun and accessible for everyone in LaGrange.”
