A new chapter is beginning in downtown LaGrange with the opening of Spellbound Bookshop, a locally owned bookstore founded by Ruth Heckendorf. The shop was created out of Ruth’s lifelong love for reading and years of experience in bookselling and curating meaningful selections. Her vision was to bring LaGrange a fresh, community-focused space that encourages readers of all ages to discover and grow their love for books.
Spellbound Bookshop will offer a variety of new books, as well as unique novelty items and handmade crafts from local artisans. Whether shoppers are looking for a new read, a thoughtful gift, or something special made close to home, the shop promises a little something for everyone.
Ruth credits the support of her family, friends, and the LaGrange community for helping bring Spellbound Bookshop to life. She has felt nothing but encouragement and excitement throughout the process and is deeply grateful to those who believed in the vision.
Spellbound Bookshop is located in downtown LaGrange and will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
