QuestBridge Awards Max Kubik a Full Scholarship to Emory

Central High School senior Max Kubik has been awarded a full academic scholarship to attend Emory University in the fall. Max plans to major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, with long-term goals of attending medical school and becoming a neurologist. Inspired by both his academic passion and his personal journey, Max hopes to one day care for patients with complex neurological conditions and contribute to advancements in neuroscience and neuroimmunology.

Max is part of this year’s QuestBridge recipients. A full academic scholarship to Emory is valued at nearly $400,000. QuestBridge is a national non-profit program based in Palo Alto, California, that connects exceptional, high-achieving high school seniors from low-income backgrounds with full four-year scholarships to the nation’s top colleges. By recruiting, developing, and motivating these students, QuestBridge aims to help talented students attend the nation’s best colleges and to support them to achieve success in their respective careers and communities.

Earlier this year Max was recognized as a Commended National Merit Scholar by the BigFutures program pioneered by College Board and he is a member of the Central High School Swim Team and Academic Team.

Central High School Principal Mr. Kelly Edwards had this to say, “Max has made a commitment to excellence in all he does for many years. He has set a remarkable example for our entire school community. Although I am not surprised, I am extremely proud to see Max recognized for this honor!”

For the 2025 QuestBridge National College Match program, over 25,000 applications were completed, and 2,500 students were matched with college partners. The 2025 matched students received early admission and full four-year scholarships covering tuition, fees, room, and board from one of QuestBridge’s 55 college partners.
