Community Foundation of West Georgia Announces Important Update to Church Improvement Grant Application Process

As preparations begin for the upcoming Church Improvement Grant cycle, the Community Foundation of West Georgia is announcing a new step in the application process designed to help churches submit their proposals.

Starting this year, all applicants will be required to complete a Letter of Intent (LOI) through the Foundation’s grant portal before submitting a full grant application. This additional step will help ensure a clear understanding of each project’s scope and support the development of realistic budgets.

Key Dates to Remember:
LOI Submission Deadline: February 1
Site Visits: Scheduled throughout February
Grant Application Opens: March 15

Beginning January 1, churches interested in applying will log into the grant portal to complete their LOI online, which can be accessed at https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cfwg.

Following LOI submission and review, the Community Foundation will schedule site visits during February to learn more about the proposed projects. Churches deemed eligible after the site visit will be invited to submit a full grant application when the application period opens on March 15.

This enhanced process is designed to support churches in preparing strong applications that reflect thoughtful planning and realistic goals for improving their facilities and communities.

For questions or assistance with the grant portal, applicants are encouraged to contact the Community Foundation directly.
