It’s official, Whataburger is coming to Villa Rica. After months of local speculation, plans are now out for bid to hire a general contractor for the project.
The new restaurant will be built at 189 Commerce Avenue, next to the fully operating Hardee’s, on the site where the former Pizza Hut once stood. While no start date for construction has been announced, development is actively moving forward.
This will be one of the latest additions to Whataburger’s growing presence in Georgia. The Carrollton location, just a few miles down the road, is nearing completion and expected to open soon.
The Villa Rica location marks another step in the chain’s regional expansion, bringing its popular Texas-based burgers closer to West Georgia residents.
