Power of the Purse Grant Applications Now Open

Community Foundation of West Georgia has opened applications for its 2026 Power of the Purse Grant Round, inviting nonprofit organizations to apply for funding that supports initiatives benefiting women and children in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.

Power of the Purse brings women together through philanthropy and collective giving to uplift families and communities across West Georgia. Grants are made possible through the generosity of members and supporters committed to creating lasting local impact.

“Power of the Purse reflects the extraordinary impact women have when they come together through philanthropy,” said Kim Jones, President of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. “Women are powerful drivers of generosity, leadership, and change. Through collective giving, Power of the Purse supports initiatives that enhance families’ well-being and create new opportunities for women and children across Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties. These grants help local nonprofits expand their reach and make a real, measurable difference throughout West Georgia.”

“Power of the Purse is women supporting women in the most meaningful way — by investing in the well-being and potential of others,” Jones adds. “When women come together with a shared purpose, their generosity strengthens families and improves communities.”

Applications are now open and will be accepted through March 31. Eligible nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for funding that improves quality of life for women and children throughout the region. Grant recipients will be announced at the Power of the Purse Spring Luncheon in April. Grant guidelines, eligibility requirements, and application materials are available at www.cfwg.net.
