A new locally owned restaurant is getting ready to open its doors in downtown Newnan. Deano’s, located at 89 Temple Avenue next to Whit’s Frozen Custard, is preparing to welcome customers with a menu focused on gourmet hot dogs, craft smash burgers, and crispy fries.
The restaurant is currently undergoing a full renovation as the owner works to create a fresh, welcoming space for the community. The goal is to offer a place where people can gather, enjoy great food, and feel at home.
Opening Deano’s marks a new chapter for the owner, who recently retired after serving as a SWAT commander. With a longtime passion for food and bringing people together, the restaurant is a way to focus fully on creating a space where families, friends, and neighbors can share a meal.
At Deano’s, the focus is on taking familiar favorites and making them stand out. The menu highlights hot dogs and smash burgers made with quality ingredients and bold flavors, along with classic sides.
The location next to Whit’s Frozen Custard adds to the experience, giving customers an easy option to enjoy a meal at Deano’s and then head next door for dessert.
Supporting first responders is also an important part of the business. First responders in uniform will receive a discount, and that discount will extend to their families when they visit together.
In addition to the restaurant, the Deano’s food truck will also be out in the community, giving more people a chance to try the menu.
Once open, hours are expected to be Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., though hours may adjust slightly as operations are finalized.
