The Carrollton Center for the Arts will present Daybreak – The Music and Passion of Barry Manilow, April 17.
“This is an extraordinary band,” said Center for the Arts Manager Tim Chapman. “It’s a big show with several musicians, backup singers and the quintessential Manilow impersonator. I am calling all our ‘Fanilows’ to get ready for a fun and memorable concert experience. Come join us as we Try to Get the Feeling Again.”
Led by pianist Joe Hite, the eight-piece ensemble Daybreak revives the glitzy, groovy 1970s vibe of Barry Manilow classics like Mandy, Can’t Smile Without You and the foot-stomping rhythm of Copacabana with stunning authenticity.
Manilow, considered one of the most iconic pop artists of all time, rose to global fame with hits that combined emotional depth, poetic lyrics and rich, harmonious compositions. He recorded and released 51 Top 40 singles, including 13 that reached number one.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for youth and can be purchased online at carrolltonarts.com, by phone at 770-838-1083 or at the center’s box office at 251 Alabama Street.
