Jack’s Family Restaurants is currently undergoing a full renovation at its Tallapoosa location on Highway 78 near Piggly Wiggly. Construction crews are actively working on the longtime restaurant as the company updates the building with a fresh new look.
While no official details have been released on the final design, the project appears similar to renovations recently completed at the Jack’s location in Carrollton. Those upgrades included major exterior changes along with refreshed dining areas and updated finishes. The drive-thru remains open during construction, allowing customers to continue ordering while work continues.
There is also more activity happening in Tallapoosa. A brand new store is expected to open soon in downtown next to the coffee shop, Leann’s Nostalgic Nook. We have reached out to the owner for more details and hope to share an update soon.
Elsewhere downtown, the local ice cream shop is also undergoing new ownership. In another positive milestone, Thomas Struts is celebrating four years of business in downtown Tallapoosa.
